How to Decorate Shelves in 6 Easy Steps

Hello Reader, I’m not sure what I love more – making shelves or styling them. There is something really satisfying about creating a functional part of the home that can ALSO reflect our personality. So yeah, give me all the shelves. Styling a shelf can be tricky though. It might be tempting to go out and just buy stuff to put on them (don't!). Over the years (and a little hgtv feature, ahem), I've developed a simple process to decorating shelves. I'll give you my first step here and then head over to the complete guide for the full process. To start styling ANY shelf (whether it's my kitchen shelves, a photo ledge, book shelf, or little above the loo shelves), I start with a clean slate. Take it all off! Why? Otherwise, we just end up shuffling things around, and don't create a good foundation. Then what? Well, that's were the magic happens my friends!
